Arran Whisky is an independently owned whisky company and distillery, located on the Isle of Arran, Scotland.

Since inception in 1994, the brand has grown from strength to strength and to help continue this growth they required a digital partner that could help to serve and engage a thirsty audience of whisky enthusiasts.

The Project

The vision of the distillery had progressed beyond Arran Whisky’s previous website, with mobile responsive eCommerce becoming the primary focus. Increasing brand awareness was also vital and they knew their fan base of whisky enthusiasts was underutilised, so a key objective was to increase fan engagement. So tictoc was appointed as their digital marketing partner to boost digital channels and grow online sales.

Over the past few years, we have been shaping their social media accounts into what they are today through social media content creation and implementing strategies that engage with followers. Providing fans with the platform to voice their passion was an opportunity that Arran Whisky’s enthusiasts warmly welcomed. Quickly, individual posts attracted hundreds and hundreds of comments - with whisky lovers contributing their own user-generated content, offering advice to other fans and arranging whisky tastings. We took followership and transformed it into a community. The brand has now amassed over 18,000 Instagram followers and over 23,000 Facebook followers. Their social strategy was so successful it was even nominated and shortlisted for Best Social Campaign at the Digital Entrepreneurs Awards.
